Some of Christian music’s brightest stars might not have shone so brightly if not for Bob Dylan’s season of gospel songs. The assessment comes as his “Christian” catalog is released in a new bootleg series, and following publication of a new book exploring his spirituality. The recordings, like the album Slow Train Coming, reveal “an absolute vulnerability on these records as Dylan explores his faith openly on the record.”
