Reminders of Family Christian Stores’ glory days have gone under the hammer in an online auction as liquidators wind up the chain’s business. Among the items left behind at the company’s now-vacated Grand Rapids, Michigan-based corporate headquarters is a frame of platinum records marking the eight million recordings the chain sold. Much of the sale is of run-of-the-mill desks, chairs, and tables. Other items include desktop crosses, inspirational posters, laptop computers, store fixtures, and mannequins.
Liquid Asset Partner’s catalog for Family Christian Stores will go online this week. Interested bidders can inspect the auction items onsite on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Online bidding will conclude on Monday, April 24 and bidders can begin to pick up their purchases from the distribution center by Tuesday, April 25 and from the corporate offices by Friday, May 3.
