Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross and Minister of Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu met on Oct. 27 to discuss the U.S.-India commercial relationship and launch their first session of the U.S.-India Commercial Dialogue. U.S.-India trade has tripled since 2005, indicating the importance of the U.S.-India relationship in promoting joint economic growth, job creation, and prosperity. Both sides also acknowledged areas for improvement, including lowering barriers and unlocking new trade and investment opportunities for U.S. and Indian businesses.
