Common mission with solid tools means massive impact for worldwide ministry.
CBA’s UNITE convention connects the world for business and mission, especially the International MarketSquare area on the exhibit floor and new business events in Eastern Europe and India.
Working through local partners, the MarketSquare format has proven to be a great interactive opportunity for all types of products, from books and Bibles to gift and specialty items. As CBA works to generate a revival of revenue for Christian businesses, the global network is expected to create new business opportunities from Main Street U.S.A. to emerging nations around the globe.
“There is untapped potential for Christian businesses to bring products to market and distribute them to make a difference everywhere,” says Curtis Riskey, CBA president. “We are working on systems and programs that will bring the world closer together.”
CBA wrapped up the fourth Market-Square Europe in April. Formerly MarketSquare Budapest, the event has grown and attracted attendees from throughout Europe and, in alliance with CLC International, from Asia, South America, and Africa. About 70 people attended the two-day rights and licensing event, including 11 publishing agents representing about 40 publishers.
An added day of training included two marketing workshops, a panel discussion on the future of Christian literature publishing, and a practical session on contracts and agreements. A banquet hosted by CBA featured Piotr Waclawik, CEO of Vocatio Publishing House, speaking on how his company is adding general-market and Catholic channels to increase Christian-literature distribution in Poland.
At the request of local leaders, CBA also is working to bring Christian business and ministry leaders together to find cooperative ways to increase product and literature distribution in a nation expected to soon be larger in population than China, currently the world’s most populated country.
Recent Indian tax reforms and a local desire for greater cooperation and unity promises exciting business and missions growth in India.
CBA is working with Sathyam Ministries and the Christian Cultural Society of India to include business meetings as part of the World Christian Expo, Nov. 7-11 in Mumbai on the western coast. A rights and licensing event is planned Nov. 8-9 and a leadership summit meeting is set Nov. 10. The leadership meeting goal is to establish a framework for future cooperation to expand book and product reach to about 24 million Christians in India.

CBA’s new strategic partnerships with Inventory Solutions and new marketing partners will bring modern tools and techniques to Christian businesses around the world.
