The closure of Send The Light Distribution has left “a huge hole in the Christian marketplace,” according to Eric Kampmann, CEO of Midpoint Trade Books, which has picked up about a dozen of the former business’s clients in the last few months. “The real losers” in STL’s demise “are the retailers,” says Larry Carpenter, president and CEO of hybrid publishing company Christian Book Services. “Now they have much less of a choice and opportunity in distribution.”
