The Open Door in Hendersonville, North Carolina, is closing after more than 20 years, due to financial and leasing issues. “It has sustained our family in a small way, but it’s never been about the money. It’s been about what I can do for Christ and the kingdom of God,” said owner Sheryl Seigler. Long-time customer Shirley Ridgeway said, “It’s really sad. A lot of people that I’ve talked to these few days have been crying because [the store is] like family.”
