NavPress joins the fight against breast cancer, partners with Dave Dravecky's Outreach of Hope
NavPress, a ministry of The Navigators, is joining the fight against breast cancer by releasing The Message//Remix: Solo [Pink Edition] as part of a fall channel-exclusive program only for Christian stores.
In an effort to have a greater reach into their community, NavPress chose a cause that hit close to home. Several NavPress and Navigator staff members are fighting breast cancer and NavPress saw the opportunity to take the best-selling REMIX: Solo Devotional Bible and match it with a cause that touches so many lives.
Eugene Peterson, translator of The Message says “I’m pleased that NavPress has chosen The Message//REMIX: Solo to support a great project for a great cause – helping to find a cure for breast cancer.”
A portion of the proceeds from each unit sold will be donated to support breast cancer research. Only Christian stores will be able to participate in The Message of Hope outreach program.
Christian stores purchasing the Solo [Pink Edition] merchandising kit will get bookplates that customers can sign offering an encouraging word, Scripture verse or prayer to someone who is battling cancer. The bookplates will be returned to NavPress and inserted into The Message of Hope Scripture booklets. Dave Dravecky’s Outreach of Hope has joined with NavPress in distributing these Scripture booklets to people and families dealing with serious illness. Dravecky, a former professional baseball pitcher who survived career-ending bone cancer founded Outreach of Hope to comfort cancer patients and their families. For Dave and his wife, Jan, The Message// REMIX: Solo has been a incredible encouragement to them on their spiritual journey.

The Message//REMIX: Solo [Pink Edition], a pink-and-white paperback devotional Bible by Eugene Peterson, retails for $17.99 and releases September 15 to coincide with October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Retailers are encouraged to invite people to sign the bookplates and wear pink during the month of October to support National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
