Q: I don’t know anything about running a Christian retail operation. Can I still attend the Prospective Retailer Seminar?

A: Yes! This seminar was made for you. Before you step out of the boat with both feet, you need to discover the tools of starting a business in this industry – essential tools like how to determine an adequate amount of capital and how to properly distribute that capital, how to choose the best location possible for your store, and many more.

Q: How much does the Prospective Retailer Seminar cost?

A: The cost of the seminar is $250 for members and $450 for non-members, which includes the Plan to Succeed-Creating a Business Plan for Christian Retail manual, a free Exhibit Floor badge, as well as breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks.

Q: What will I learn at the Prospective Retailer Seminar?

A: At the Prospective Retailer Seminar you have the opportunity to evaluate whether you have the necessary combination of talent, capital, and desire to succeed in Christian retail. Through a thorough, thought-provoking question and evaluation process, you’ll learn how to strengthen your business plan and develop and follow a well-conceived action plan to successfully meet the challenges of today’s Christian retailer. Your training and research won’t stop when the classroom sessions end. You’ll use the exhibit floor as a lab to develop your business plan, and you can set appointments with the seminar instructor in the CBA Resource Center on the exhibit floor to discuss your plan.

Q: I attended the Prospective Retailer Seminar once before, but I would like to attend it again. Can I do this?

A: Yes. You are more than welcome to attend the seminar twice. The cost of attending a second time is $125 for members and $225 for non-members.
