How CBA will Support the More From The Core Initiative?

While Christian retailers focus on the disciplines and needs of their store, CBA is focusing every available tool to this strategic initiative in the coming months and years.  Here are just some of the ways we’re immediately focusing on More From The Core:

  • Industry Summits & Meetings:  CBA will facilitate key gatherings to help industry leaders understand one another’s needs and make progress together
  • New Technologies:  We’ll help our members discover and apply emerging retail and distribution technologies needed to move forward
  • Retail Consulting:  CBA is launching a new retail consulting program at Advance 2007 to help Christian stores measure and improve performance in the initiative’s key areas
  • Customer Service/Staff Performance Research:  We’ll research how Christian stores are serving their customers and meeting their expectations, and provide insights that stores can use to set benchmarks and evaluate their own staff
  • Core Customer Profile Research:  We’ll commission new research that will identify the profile of the typical core Christian retail customer, and equip stores to apply the research
  • Frontliner Certification and Product Knowledge Training:  We’ll create a comprehensive training program to improve the skills and contributions of the sales floor staff in Christians stores.  And because customers expect product experts in specialty retail, CBA is developing a system that will enable suppliers to deliver product information and training directly to your frontliners, for that competitive edge
  • National Christian Retail Institute:  CBA is already refining this member-acclaimed weeklong training event to help stores get More From The Core, from strategic planning through implementation
  • Inventory Management Consulting:  CBA is developing a retail-focused inventory management consulting service to help members setup, monitor and make decisions on their inventory management using industry standards and information
  • Retailer Training:  CBA will focus and align all training materials to help our members take the practical and strategic steps necessary to make More From The Core improvements a reality
  • Supplier Training:  We’ll help industry suppliers be well educated on the unique metrics, economics and advantages of Christian retail
  • Programs at CBA Advance and the International Christian Retail Show:  Sessions, speakers, workshops and much more will concentrate industry training, dialogue and action on More From The Core issues
  • Articles in Aspiring Retail magazine:  Four “Special Issues” and ongoing articles and columns will drill down deep into the information and action steps taken and needed to support the initiative, and will share members’ success stories as they focus on getting More From The Core
  • Transaction and Supply Chain Standards:  CBA will continue to help create and establish business standards in partnership with suppliers, retailers and industry organizations
