Award History and Past Winners

The Jim Carlson CBA Store of the Year Impact Awards began in 1962 as the Store of the Year Awards presented by the Fleming H. Revell Co.  In 1980, CBA was asked to present the awards to give them added industry-wide recognition.  Since then, they have gone through several updates and formats to land where they are today.  In 2004 the name was changed to the current one to honor Jim Carlson, founder of Spring Arbor Distributors and Logos Bookstores.  Carlson was awarded the CBA Key Person Award in 1994 and served the Christian Retail Industry for more than 30 years.
