Industry Awards

An important part of CBA’s advocacy and leadership position in the Christian Retail Channel is to honor best practices that help raise the bar for everyone and set standards of excellence in our industry.  Consumer expectations are higher today than ever before.  Our customers are looking to shop in stores that set themselves apart from others.  By providing awards, CBA recognizes excellence based on measured results that provide direction and inspire ideas in others. 

Retailer Awards

The CBA Spirit of Excellence Awards are given each year to those retailers who represent excellence in ANY of the following areas.

  • Innovation - How has this store used out-of-the-box thinking to implement new ideas and further Christian retail?
  • Community Outreach/Ministry - How is this store engaging the community and/or being true to its mission?
  • Marketing - How is this store finding ways to incorporate new tools or build relationships with customers using new marketing techniques?
  • Merchandising - How has this store implemented new and unique ways of engaging customers through displays?
  • Customer Experience - How is this store presenting a total store experience to reach new groups or customers?

Supplier Awards

The CBA Channel Champion Impact Award is the pinnacle award for Christian suppliers. Every year, CBA is proud to bestow this award on a supplier company who truly makes an impact in the lives of its customers. Criteria for this award includes:

  • The company has created a program, product, or incentive that has helped boost traffic and awareness of your store.
  • The company has created a program, product, or incentive that impacts core issues like customers, inventory, staff, and partnerships, and then turns those initiatives into a tangible deliverable for your store.
  • The company has excellent customer service policies and works with Christian retailers to be as successful as possible.
  • The company is helping Christian retailers become a partner with their local community and churches.
