Bookstore Manager® & CBA Strike Agreement

For Use Of Independent Store Sales Data Collection Pipeline

Abilene, Texas—March 5, 2007 – In an effort to help Christian retailers benefit from simplified data delivery and improve traffic and sales through market-responsive inventory management, Bookstore Manager® (the leading provider of total technology solutions for the Christian retail industry), announced today that they have struck an agreement allowing CBA and CROSS:SCAN to collect sales data from independent Christian retailers using Bookstore Manager’s® inventory control software via their Eye On Inventory Interchange (EOII) pipeline.

“We know many of our customers want to participate in CROSS:SCAN, but don’t have the time and technical staff to do so if it is not simplified and automated,” said Bookstore Manager® founder Randy Voorhees. “So we’re glad to provide our retailers with the capability through our EOI Interchange to participate in this important industry-wide data collection service with very little effort required at the store level.”

Anderson continued, “Using the EOII pipeline, every Bookstore Manager user who wants to take advantage of CROSS:SCAN will now be able to interact with CROSS:SCAN either directly with CBA or indirectly through Above the Treeline. We’re very pleased with these partnerships and excited to offer these convenient options with them."

“This agreement makes it convenient for Bookstore Manager’s participating retailers to join the hundreds of retailers already participating in CROSS:SCAN,” said CBA president, Bill Anderson. “It is exciting to see more and more Christian retailers recognize the value of their own data, and how it’s value increases exponentially when they work together through CBA to shape the Christian Retail Channel and its future. CROSS:SCAN, a retailer-driven and retailer-owned data-collection and analysis service, gives retailers a better understanding of their stores and their channel through broader collection, better interpretation, and more controlled usage of their sales data.”

CBA’s CROSS:SCAN reports are powered by Above the Treeline’s robust capabilities, and enable retailers to easily and quickly analyze their own store-level data alongside a powerful industry-wide picture so they can make sound decisions that better serve their customers, reduce costs, and improve profitability.

Retailers wanting to use the Bookstore Manager EOII pipeline to participate in CROSS:SCAN can contact CBA Member Services Manager Eric Johnson at 800-252-1950, ext. 1236, or ejohnson@cbaonline.org.
