Christopher W. Brooks, who was recently named dean of Moody Theological Seminary-Michigan, will publish a book with Kregel Publications tentatively titled Urban Apologetics in May 2014.
As a pastor, popular radio host, and apologetics speaker, Brooks brings a wealth of experience to his new position. His academic experience includes a master’s degree in Christian apologetics and philosophy from Biola University, and graduate studies at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics at Oxford University. He is a Kern Fellow of the Acton Institute and serves in the Urban Outreach of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He has led international leadership training in 12 countries and speaks to the practical issues of the Christian faith through his Monday through Friday drive-time radio program Equipped for Life in the greater Detroit area. He is currently senior pastor of Evangel Ministries in Detroit, MI, and founder of the Detroit Bible Institute.
Pastor Brooks has a passion for reaching the often forgotten residents of urban America. Urban Apologetics will equip urban Christians to use apologetics tools in order to reach their communities with the liberating message of the gospel.
