The Mustard Seed, a feature of the downtown in Alexandria, Minnesota, for more than 40 years, is moving to a new location. Renamed Mustard Seed Market, it will expand its gift selection, adopting a “cozy, old-fashioned feel reminding people of the time people used to pray at the dinner table,” according to owner Tamara Lund. The store dates back to the Jesus Movement days, says former owner Karla Stotesbery, when “people were hungering and thirsting for more of the word of God and there wasn’t a place locally to purchase those books.”
