New Kind of Convention

“This will be a new kind of convention that will highlight new products, exclusive convention-only offers, and a new floor plan to make attending efficient and affordable,” CBA President Curtis Riskey said. “We are focusing on what matters most to retail buyers: opportunities to help the bottom line.”

Among the changes are a more efficient trade floor and new Showcase Suites that extend the exhibit floor into meeting rooms. CBA has managed the exhibiting space to accommodate a more intimate exhibit floor while opening up suites to enhance the exhibition experience for both exhibitors and buyers. This adds more flexibility for after-hours meetings and events so more can be done in a day.

The new Showcase Suites give exhibitors new opportunities to create comfortable environments that enhance meetings and presentations, while allowing buyers to more quickly navigate the traditional exhibit floor.

“The ‘Envision the Legacy’ theme reflects the hope for future growth and impact through the distribution of Christian media, products, and resources,” Riskey said.

Training, New Events
  • Tuesday, June 27 – The convention includes Retail Academy training before the exhibit areas open, plus select sessions on marketing and engaging your community.
  • Wednesday, June 28 – The popular Christian Product Trends workshop has morphed into a time for quick presentations by leading suppliers called Rep Arounds. Member buyers can see and learn a lot in a short time, plus enjoy free hors d’oeuvres and networking time. Space is limited.
  • Thursday, June 29 – The Envision the Legacy Banquet offers a seated dinner and a program of inspiration, recognition, and connection. Space is limited.
  • Friday, June 30 – Discount tickets are available for The Ark Experience and the Creation Museum, plus other local attractions.

“The industry convention is a leading event for Christian-product providers to connect, learn, and be inspired to continue the good work of providing Christian ideas, thought, and faith-building in a troubled world,” Riskey said. “Our industry is the hub for Christian-content creation and distribution that connects locally and globally.”
