Kari Jobe’s fourth album, The Garden, reflects heartache in the singer’s personal life. Her sister lost the baby she was carrying, and later Jobe moved into a new home in Nashville. “It was spring, so all the colors—almost overnight—started showing,” she recalled. “My niece, my sister’s baby, who passed away—her middle name was Ivy. As I looked out and realized this garden had all this ivy, I just burst into tears. I just felt so surrounded by the presence of God that day…”
