The very intense Mel Gibson film Hacksaw Ridge, which released just prior to Veteran’s Day, is a testament to one man’s faith and his conscientious-objector status during the World War II assault on Okinawa. The movie received a 4.5 star rating from Faith Driven Consumers. The film also has an underlying theme about combat-related post-traumatic stress disorders. Filmmakers have worked to partner with veteran agencies that specialize in PTSD, and are asking for help to let veterans know where they might find the peace of the Gospel and assistance in understanding what they’ve been through.
