Barbour Publishing, Inc. announced that Veil of Pearls, Trinity, and A Mother’s Cry placed in the 2013 annual Faith, Hope & Love RWA Chapter’s Inspirational Reader’s Choice Awards contest.

Veil of Pearls by MaryLu Tyndall came in third for the Long Historical category. Set in 1811 Charleston, Veil of Pearls is an epic love story about a runaway slave and a plantation owner’s son. MaryLu Tyndall is a Christy Award finalist, a bestselling author, and a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Romance Writers of America. Trinity by Ronie Kendig came in first for the Romantic Suspense category. Kendig pens a riveting, nonstop action story about a former Green Beret who is trying to find purpose in life with his military war dog by his side after his military career is ripped from his hands following a traumatic brain injury. Ronie Kendig is an award-winning, bestselling author and speaker who grew up an Army brat. She currently resides in Virginia with her family.

A Mother’s Cry by Jane Kirkpatrick came in third for the Novella category. Published in A Midwife’s Legacy, this story follows midwife and widow Adele Marley as her life of contentment on a Wisconsin farm is uprooted when she meets Jerome Schmidt. Jane Kirkpatrick is an award-winning author, a teacher, and a speaker who resides with her husband in Oregon.

Established in February 1997, Faith, Hope & Love is a non-profit corporation affiliated with Romance Writers of America. It seeks to support, educate, and encourage published and unpublished writers of fiction written from a Christian worldview.
